PA Services For You: Putting People First, Always

I would like to share a testimony about how PA Services and Lucy’s genuine commitment to caring for us all quite literally saved my life.

In October last year, I noticed something unusual happening in my body, which was very concerning. I contacted my GP and had several tests, but no diagnosis could be given. I was then referred to a gynaecologist at Kingston Hospital; however no appointment date was provided, meaning I was facing a long wait. This was extremely worrying, as I did not know what was wrong or what was happening to me.

One day, while I was at the PA Services Hub supporting clients with activities, a colleague noticed that I wasn’t myself. I opened up about what was going on, and she suggested that I use the medical insurance provided by PA Services for all PAs, as she herself had benefited from it.

That same day, I contacted the medical insurance provider and registered on the portal. I was given an appointment the very next day to see a consultant, who was able to give me an immediate diagnosis.

Further tests were carried out, including several investigations and X-rays, and I was given a clear diagnosis along with a full health MOT. The care I received at the Victoria Hospital in Kingston was absolutely amazing.

I was booked in as an emergency to undergo two emergency surgeries on my uterus - at this point, time was of the essence. The doctors and nurses were incredibly attentive both during and after my surgery.

The quality of care I received was outstanding. The hospital environment felt like a five-star hotel, and I was truly exceptionally well. 

I am so grateful for how seamless everything was, and I am pleased to say that I have now fully recovered and received my all-clear results. I can now live my life again, all thanks to Lucy, who ensures that PA Services cares just as deeply for its staff as it does for its clients and who gave me a second chance at life.

I would like to encourage all colleagues to make use of the medical insurance that our wonderful leader has put in place. You can benefit from it just as I have. It can be used for a full health MOT - because even when we look okay, we may not know what is going on inside our bodies.
